The clip that goes around the glass is hinged. It pivots towards the ceiling.

There is no space to pull it towards ceiling.

yes there is. The bracket is shaped like an L, with the longer part of the L parallel to the ceiling, and there is the more ornate part that supports the glass bowl. The ornate part pivots upwards where it is attached to the end of the long portion of the L. It is spring loaded. At least on the fixture I have at home that looks just like yours.

thank you @w0lley32 one of the brackets was spring loaded and I was able to pull it out and install the new bulb. Problem solved!
