Given the current layout of my primary bedroom , I’m facing a few challenges.

There is only a single, narrow window on the right-hand wall, which faces directly toward the side fence with no view and very limited natural light

Additionally, the bathroom is quite small, and there is a significant amount of unused space to the left of the bathroom that is currently wasted.

To address these issues, I’m considering two options:

Option 1: Relocate the Bathroom

• Demolish the existing bathroom.
• Rebuild the bathroom on the opposite side of the bedroom, and make it larger.
• This relocation would allow me to open up the space facing the backyard and install large windows there, greatly improving natural light and the overall view from the bedroom.

Option 2: Expand and Reconfigure the Current Bathroom

• Expand the existing bathroom horizontally, incorporating the unused space to its left.
• Shorten the bathroom's depth slightly to better balance the bedroom layout.
• Add a large window in the expanded bathroom, positioning a bathtub to face it.
• Create a wide doorway (or potentially even a cased opening) between the bedroom and bathroom to borrow natural light into the bedroom.
• Additionally, enlarge the current small bedroom window facing the fence to a bigger one to maximize natural light from that side as well. (privacy might be a concern?)

Option 1 is definitely better but I feel option 2 is more cost effective.
