You'd probably have to wait longer to figure out what it does. My experience with small bands from small, not-so-reputable suppliers has not been too good.

These days I would only purchase from established names.

The first thing I thought when I saw your photo was that you ended up with a florist rose of some type, which would make sense since the rose was from an Etsy seller. Some of the "garden look" florist roses have thick, almost waxy petals, much like your rose. I'd look back at the seller's listings to see what could be a match. Luckily, your rose has very distinctive foliage and canes, so that should help with an ID.

I don't think there's necessarily anything "wrong" with the rose. I think you're just going to need to wait for subsequent flushes that will hopefully produce blooms that are more representative of whatever variety you have. I think the bloom you currently have is just a baby version of whatever this rose is supposed to look like.

I'd trust Diane 110% that this is most likely not Augusta Louise.

Give the bush time. It's a baby.

Of course, it may still not be Augusta Luise, but a healthy more mature bush, well cared for, will tell for certain.
