Are you open to changing the fans to regular light fixtures?

Also, for me, the art choices feel a little dark.

I think the fans are probably needed so I wouldn’t be removing them. Yes to layered lighting at eye level. I’m confused about where the tv is. What’s on the wall where the telescope is? The art on the stone wall is dramatic but it does blend into the stone. The pattern on ottoman & pillows seems not a great complement to the stone FP wall. I’m wondering if stronger colors would add weight balance to furnishings. The stone wall & art really dominate the room.

I like the fans, I would not be removing them. What the room needs is end tables, and lamps, and some color in the rug and in some pillows. There is no personality in that room. It is not welcoming.

You are hiding the fireplace and the sectional is facing away from the tv.

Are you keeping that sectional? Please no.

Only thing I want to avoid is mounting TV to fireplace hence the reason the couch is turned around facing the wall but now blocking the fire place. I am open to new couch layout. I am open to everything!

Dina, I think we need to see that 4th wall to be able to develop ideas for your consideration. Understand not wanting TV over FP but that leaves you 2 walls for TV in this space. If you flip sectional to face the wall with map art the sectional will still block FP - unless its flipped so the L end back faces the wall we can’t see. Then view to FP open & TV on wall instead of map art.

I love monochromatic, but I can see a more colorful rug. Then take colors from the rug for pillows and a throw.

At some point you can change the furniture from the sectional to sofa and chairs.
