when you say 3" to spare... that is not a good thing, that means there will be a little piece of tile to fit in. You need to dry fit tile, allow for the size grout gap you want and fit from the center out/up/down. Better to cut a a bit off a large tile than have to cut a sliver to fit.

Better when doing an offset pattern rather than stacked (stacked will show too much)

Love the thought of large format. I always prefer a very slim gap for the grout and use a grout that matches the tile for a clean finish.

What is the plan for the shower floor? something 2" or less to handle the slope to the drain.

Thanks Lyn. Didnt ohrase that right. Back wall of shower is 47” and side walls are 45” so a horizontal 24 x 48” would work. what do you think coordinates for bathroom floor? Shower floor was planning a mosaic, unless my contractor could envelope cut larger tiles………

it is very elegant. will you be using the bullnose tiles too?

the other complimentary tiles are lovely, will you be using them too? for a vanity backsplash?

I have this thing about laying the veins in the same direction, but I know people often just like the random pattern.

Your best bet with that tile line is the 12x24 size for both floor and walls. The shower is small for that tile look in the larger format; it will not look cohesive.
