Bouquets of 2025

I thought I would start a thread on bouquets for those who have any to share. I find it helpful to see how blooms look next to each other. During the first flush I barely have any to collect since I like to see full coverage on bushes; but as the first flush heads to an end, I pick one here and there from what't left to accelerate to the next cycle. Here are some of mine at this early stage:

Good as Gold and Munstead Wood

Dee-lish, Beverly, Easy Does It, Lady of Shalott, Good as Gold, Olivia Rose and Cl Pinkie

Dee-lish, Munstead W, Don Juan

Ring of Fire and Good as Gold aged out (great vase life since I brought them in almost spent)

It's not Queen Anne's Lace, it's just a straight up carrot bloom lol. The bright pink is Laguna, unfortunately it does not have a good vase life in my experience. And thank you!

Magpie - I adore your Laguna blooms!!! :) :) Really? That's a carrot bloom? An ordinary carrot made that? Cool! Magpie, there's a baby magpie in our yard. Still hasn't developed long tail feathers. A real cutie. I don't have bird houses in my backyard because I have 2 dogs. I have to be very careful...the dogs will respect what I have to say, though. I've already stopped them once. Next time I see it, maybe I'll try to scoop it up and put it on the other side of the fence.

Sub - what an ethereal bouquet!! I love it!

Bliss with a bunch of other blooms.. some from my garden, some from a friends. I don't have many that are nice enough for a bouquet right now but Bliss is doing well.

Elena - I stared at your bouquet for a long while. The eye follows so many paths. Gorgeous!! I especially love the peachy rose at the base of the flowers and the calla lily.

@rosecanadian, I know, right?! These Dahlias are 8” in diameter!!! I grow roses for fragrance, so It’s been interesting to grow Dahlias for color, shape, and SIZE!

As for the roses, I normally wouldn’t put these varieties together as a posey, but I love the poweful perfume they each emit.

@elenazone6, really like the speckled Lily in your bouquet! Also, could you share the name of the red rose?

@KittyNY6, the floral arrangement made by your friend is lovely! I like how the foliage picks up the colors of the flowers!

@jjkOC zone 10a/22, SoCal — thank you! I know the phlox doesn’t quite fit this bouquet, but it just ended up that way. The red rose is Rouge Royale. It’s been very hot lately, and she’s surprisingly handling the heat well.

Kitty - even seeing the bouquet again, I'm still amazed at the beauty of roses and other flowers. Gorgeous!!! I can't imagine creating that.

jjk - 8 inches!!! Staggering!! And, oh, yeah, roses with powerful fragrances...mmmmm

Thank you regarding Jena’s bouquet. Boscobel, Jubilee C and Mustead are gorgeous together in your bouquet! Great comiring in Mynstead photo-burgandy! And I love dinnerplate dahlias!

    Elena,

Amazing bouquets for the museum! Beautiful colors matching the paintings! !

    Everyone's bouquets are just awesome!

I only bring flowers indoors before it rains, and this is an Eifelzauber bouquet. She blooms late, is very tall, and very upright, so I think it's better to see her in a vase than to get a sore neck in the garden. LOL. She has a vase life of more than a week, and is my favorite cut flower along with Mother of Pearl.

Feiy - oh, that is a delightful bouquet!! Those flouncy flowers scream romance. :)

I don't usually cut flowers, but I made a small bouquet for my m-i-law. I added a few more peonies, but didn't take a pic of it.

@Feiy (PNWZ8b/9a), I’d not heard of Eifelzauber before, but the color is very pretty and its form reminds me of Princess Charlene de Monaco. So very pretty!

@rosecanadian, what a beautiful bouquet! I especially love the Peonies and poppies! May I ask what is the magenta rose you included?

Thanks so much!! :) :) That is Parade Day.

@rosecanadian, thank you again for your kind words!

@elenazone6, LOVE Klimt! It seems that toward the end of his life, Klimt painted many garden scenes filled with greenery, colorful wildflowers and sunflowers that were favorited by his beloved Emilie Flöge. Wouldnt it be fun to recreate one of his paintings with real flowers, like Pageant of the Masters?

    @jjkOC zone 10a/22, SoCal, absolutely!

Art Nouveau is my favorite art style, and Klimt is my favorite artist!

The chonker in the middle is Unforgettable. The rest, in no order, are Carey, Constance, Francis Meilland, Leonora, Joan Fontaine, HanXian.

Wow! They're all so beautiful! SD Shine, your Unforgettable bloom is HUGE!! My favorite is the one below it at 7 o'clock position with the pink center. Is that Francis Meilland?

Mei - those aren't all from your own garden, are they? Those flowers are goddesses!! lol

SD Shine - they are “heartbreakingly” beautiful. I want them all. 🙂 I love the color combinations as well. Awesome!

Rosecanadian - yes, they are all from my garden. This thread inspired me to bring some of the flowers indoors. I am now thinking make a cutting flowers bed so I can bring flowers in more often. 😀

@rosecanadian Thank you and yes! That one is Francis.

@Mei z5 IL Chicago Suburb thank you, I might have a pink rose obsession lol. Your bouquet is stunning, I love the architecture of it, it looks so intentional.

I didn't know that cosmos lasts well in the vase. Maybe I should try them next year. Do you have a bouquet or two to share?
