I have also learned it also needs some sun. Unfortunately the rabbits have helped too😡 My Dream Queen I rescued several years ago got ravaged again by rabbits last season. It is still holding on, put out a few large leaves this spring

Yes, that’s a beauty for sure 👍🏽. I bought one some years ago and it didn’t survive either. I would be tempted by one looking that good though……

I love Great Expectations. It's worth trying to grow it at least a few times! Yours looks gorgeous Sherry! Years ago when I got my first one, I eventually moved it into a pot with moisture control Miracle Grow soil and lots of sun. I wouldn't put any hosta in that soil now. But it survived and I have it today. So I would say it needs sun and lots of water.

Irresistible for sure! Good luck! Mine thrived at first and then died. Worth it.

As much as it is great looking hosta I no longer want to deal with prima donnas. There was time when I wanted to prove something to myself and tried growing plants that were not suitable to my zone, climate or landscape, grow them from seeds collected from all over the world. There are just so many wonderful hostas out there, really exciting times!

I have bought at least 6 and none survived. Different nurseries, different years, different places in the yard. Hope yours works for you since I've finally given up and moved on since there are just so many more hostas.
