With eight foot ceilings you don’t want things that hang down, so replace the boob lights with cans. Over the sink could have a pretty pendant and you could have a decorative flush fixture at the front door. The kitchen honestly should have several cans for even lighting, on a dimmer of course.

Depends on the Budget and your style.

I prefer a flush or semi flush ceiling light for bedrooms, laundry, but you need to decide what suits you best. a Hanging fixture over a dining table, your kitchen light lookstoo far away from the wall to allow for a pendant over the sink. Even something more stylish for the hallway?

Just measure the height and width of what you have now so you have something for reference when you are looking on line

Thank you, I agree, I’d love to add more lights in the kitchen, but unable to do so at the moment. And unfortunately the main kitchen light is too close to the cabinets to put the table/chairs under it. Below is a better pic of the entryway and shows how close together the two fixtures are to each other.

I had this semi-flush light in 3 bedrooms in my previous house. The bedroom with the 9 ft ceiling had the 4-light version and the bedrooms with the 8 ft ceilings had the 3-light version. They put out a lot of light.

With the view of your pretty chandelier from your entry way, I would let it be the star, and just use pancake led's for the other lights, these come in various sizes. We did that a few years ago in our open area condo and have never regretted it. It keeps the area uncluttered and simple yet adds ample light.

I agree the chandelier is the star and replace all the others with LED saucer type lightis thay are very affordable and easy to change I like them in 4000K but some can be adjusted . Many are integrated so IMO order 2 extras just in case .
