You shouldn't need to clean paint from a sink after rinsing paint brushes -- it goes down the drain. I wash brushes outside, bring them in for a soak in a cleaning solution, then rinse and final clean in the sink.

Cleanup as you would your kitchen sink.

I've cleaned brushes in many types of sink, but if I were looking specifically for a utility sink, I'd choose stainless.

I'd get one of these utility sinks with cabinet. And paint does get on the sides of the sink when you clean brushes.

I was looking at those with the corner faucet at Lowe’s. Me, I would want the faucet on the left corner, works better for my laundry room, I think, but I don’t see one. I do like the ”farmhouse” style with the stainless steel front! As one who drapes damp cloths over the front of the utility sink, I could use that.

(I really my concrete double sink from the old house. It was a beast and so useful!)

Stainless steel is the best IMO.

We used @wdccruise 's Glacier Bay suggestion as a temporary sink while our kitchen was under construction. We loved it. Great size. Easy to clean. Faucet placement is excellent. Not as much of a piece of crap as other Glacier Bay products I've encountered. We agreed if we were in the market for a laundry sink this would be it.

Stainless steel from me too. And get a sprayer on your faucet so you can rinse your whole sink well.

I would also recommend you do a two-stage cleaning setup for your brushes. Do a seperate bucket for your prewash to get most of the paint out before you wash in the open sink. Paint particle can build up in your pipes over time, and it isn't good for septic systems or municipal sewage systems.
