hardwood flooring choice

Hi all - I am having the hardest time figuring out a floor for my new kitchen. The cabinets are a walnut laminate and the countertop is a Belvedere soapstone. These are already ordered. I’m inclined to go with hardwood for the flooring because the house has a small footprint. Pictured below is the cabinet and countertop sample, along with an option for hardwood - Riva Spain in Krypton (I would prefer narrower planks but this is what I have for now). I love warm relatively unpretentious but interesting design. My concern is that the color contrast is too stark, although to my untrained eye, it seems that the floor picks up some of the warm undertones of the cabinet. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice pairing here? Thank you

I think that flooring color has too much orange. How about a wood floor option that is more of a medium brown or has variegated hues of brown in it? Something along this line...

I agree with Nova that less orange tone would be better. The amber looks really nice with walnut.

Thank you all. I am drawn to orange wood generally but realize it’s not the best fit for the walnut. Great suggestions for alternatives

My main issue with the flooring you selected is not that the contrast with the cabinetry is too "stark", but that it is too close.

The lighter colors suggested above would work better.

Since you have a small home, you would really be surprised how having the same flooring throughout will open up/enlarge your space visually. If you have the budget to do that, you'll really enjoy it.

Look at inspiration images of walnut kitchens you love, and look at the flooring they use in those images. it’s a great way to get a handle on your options.
