More rain, more storms…

Thankfully, no tornadic activity for our area but straight line winds wreaked havoc on trees in a wide swath and the rains continue.

All these blooms are FFO

Happy Happy-little plant multiplication and few buds would normally push this one out but I have the room so it stays

It’s great to see daylilies on your garden! Nice photos of Geometric Wizard and Happy Happy. HH left my garden last season…lovely blooms and awful performance here, bud drop queen too.

We have had no rain for at least three weeks plus….storms fall apart or go around us. Had continuous 35 mph windswith higher gust for over a week and two days with temps over 90…in May. we had Dust storm two days ago, that was a first for me.

I am giving up on normal weather patterns.

So many FFOs! Happy Happy is my favorite, such a nice wide edge. Also like Going Big Time and Busy Being Fabulous. Hope you can confirm Stamile pink ID.

Yes! I thought about getting something for shade last year, heuchera or hosta, but nothing had names!

Sherry, I so agree about Happy Happy. It has never been a performer-if I was pressed for space, it would have been long gone! Wish I could share some rain with you. One would think we are in the tropics with rain popping up every day.

Thanks for the comments, Nat. If I see something I like on clearance I will usually buy it. But I really like to see those ID tags!!

Yes, "normal" is elusive nowadays. We had a couple of hot days, and now in the coming week, we are forecast to have at least one day in the fifties. A very rainy spring here. But that says nothing about this summer. Last year, also, there were abundant spring rains. In June, the water was turned off.

Kate: Nice grouping of blooms. Your Happy Happy has such a nice edge on it. Love that color combo but sounds like it doesn't do well...too bad. I bought Busy Being Fabulous last year and hoping it will do well here. I always admired Debra's photos of it in her garden. I have a couple of Monarda (Bee Balm)varieties here. They tend to grow tall so I keep them on the outside edge of the garden but they get out of control so pulling several sprouts this year. With all the rain we've been having alot of my plants are getting "legging". At least our temps have settled back down today which makes for a comfortable gardening day but rain coming again midweek.

Kate, I see why you keep Happy Happy in spite of performance. I have a couple daylilies in that category too.

Rainbows are so nice to see!

Happy Happy does have such a pretty bloom. It multiplied well for me, but scapes were always short and poorly budded. Glad to see Busy Being Fabulous and Ghost Gifts blooming for you!

Sherry - No rain for you, but a dust storm??? That is weird Spring weather.
