In daylight with the shutters opened. A drawing with dimensions is better yet. Feet and inches to all the walls, windows, where you enter, if an opening to closet or bath.

I will wait for the pics of the whole space and the to scale plan. BTW best here to not start the question with what you will not change since often a change makes a huge difference in a space .

Sorry but pretty hard to give advice when we are all looking at blank walls. If you can post more photos and a to scale floor plan that will help everyone better answer your questions.

Besides art, a gallery wall, built in bookcases or a large piece of furniture or combination of those, you could install a wall hung electric fireplace, which would be nice to look at from bed. They make some fairly nice ones now with pretty realistic flames.

You could create a feature wall with shelving and a mantel - or something else more interesting than just sticking it on a wall.

You might try artwork, a reading chair with a floor lamp, a chaise lounge, or an electric fireplace. There are many different things you could do, it'll just depend on what you want and have space for. Please see the images below from various bedroom designs we have done for clients:
