I bought this one back in 2017, I believe it was in a 1 gallon and came from Conifer Kingdom. I remember reading somewhere that these don’t need to be pruned unless for dead branches and for the most part, that’s what I have followed. Last year I did cut down some of the candles in spring because I was starting to think it was getting too big and some of the candles were growing very long and all arching in the same direction. This year it looks worse. Any advice? I just feel like it looks way too full/compact compared to the ones I see online and unfortunately since it’s up against the house, everything does seem to want to grow toward the sun. It’s got a beautiful thick trunk so part of me would just like to take out maybe a fifth of the bigger branches and let it get some air circulation. But I wanted to check with the experts before I go screwing everything up :)
