Sleeper hits of 2025

What are some of the less talked about roses that are impressing you so this season? For me, the one that really stands out is Roxy. I got mine from Roses Unlimited in 2021. It has been steady and healthy, but the amount of bloom this year has really been impressive! It’s a great little rose.

Ivor's Rose (aka Flamenco Rosita) by the late Amanda Beales appears to be quite the healthy trooper. (No idea why it wasn't promoted more stateside.)

Carefree Sunshine *should* have been the rose to acquire the "yellow Knockout" label, imho. This is a real trooper, being relatively drought tolerant and floriferous.

(Limoncello might have a hair more flower power once she builds up -- jury still out -- but at this juncture, I am thinking Limoncello might be slightly more susceptible to disease.)

Paul Ecke Jr. is surprisingly disease resistant thus far, and I rather like the deep, richly-colored single blooms.

Most of the "very disease-resistant" modern roses are disappointing me in my no-spray central TX garden. Normally, I might give a pass and blame drought stress, but we have had adequate rain this spring, so no excuses this year...

Easy on the Eyes is another rose that is proving itself to be very disease redistant!

Markay - I'm loving mine. It was new last year, and not it has about 15 buds ready to open...with one that has. The fragrance blew me away! Your Roxy is a very vibrant rose...it's a winner in every way!
