Frame color help

Keep black frames? Or swap to gold?

my regret for kitchen is doing all polished nickel. would like to add some warmth with gold. Swap out frames? (found for $20 at Homegoods, so inexpensive swap) OR keep as is? OR paint white? Got best pics i could-sorry i know it may be hard to tell

It is a beautiful space. For me the frame choice is more about the profile than the color. The black frames are bold, smooth, and have the right thickness for artwork with substantial matting around it. The gold frame, to my eye, has a more delicate, complicated profile, and for artwork mounted with more than three inches of matting, it’s just not the right weight.

These are details. Whatever you pick will be lovely.

The black is fine. The massive amount of snowblinding white is NOT. If you want to warm up that space, start with painting the walls something other than white. A new counter and backsplash, that isn't white. Reface the island to wood. Etc.

It's a beautiful kitchen, but swapping out the black frames for gold isn't going to do much to warm it up. Painting the walls and trim a warmer color, or installing wallpaper would go a lot farther to warm the room.

The gold frame is attractive so go for it. It is a fine start to adding warmth.

I'd get some kind of plant, even a small one for the counter. I don't have a green thumb, and am not a plant person. But I am quite convinced that just one pop of green helps any room.

Nice kitchen. Love the large lanterns.

I prefer gold with the picture with warm tones that's in that frame, for the rest I prefer black. On my monitor, your walls appear to be a creamy white. I don't see "snowblinding white", so I'm not sure painting them is going to help. Has your kitchen been newly redone? That's the impression I got from your post.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions. Walls are not snowblinding white, they are painted SW creamy. Backsplash is marble and it pulls blue in my opinion. Kitchen was done in 2020. Out of the question to replace countertops or backsplash. I included a few more pics from diffrent angles, as well as the drapes that will be in the great room off the kitchen and new cabinet for coffee bar that compliments the kitchen table chairs

I like the gold frames and I think I would get the prints re-matted with a warmer textured mat. Burlap ish.
