What nice bright room! if it were me, I might add a narrowish table to the left of the soda and add a lamp there - do you need hooks or a coatrack by the door?

FWIW Anthropologie has huge paper tapestries that are a total steal, one of those could be fun

I think I would pair the couch and chair together and have the table on one end instead of in the middle of sitting pieces.

You have alot of different functions in this room. exercise, dining, office, music and 2 seating areas. first question is do all need to stay here? if so id try and an group like function together. for example pull both seating areas into one and add the piano to the grouping as they could conceivably be related.

I live alone in this one-bedroom apartment that has a hallway, so I don’t need hooks, but everything else needs to stay, yes, the kitchen is too small for a table and the bedroom is to small for an office corner. I rarely have visitors so I usually use the armchair for reading. I will check on the wallpaper and the table idea!

I would move all the casual seating closer to the window with the reading chair.

Is the cabinet for office use or storage? if office, keep it next to the desk, if it's storage, use if for dining storage on the wall between the doors. Piano between new office and "living room"

A larger rug to anchor the seating area centered on the front windows.

The door near the window leads to the kitchen, the door near the couch leads to the hallway.

@Lyn Nielson thank you. I tried to make a quick mock-up. I like the idea with the couch! Just a bit concerned I won’t get enough daylight at the desk.

Do you have another place to store the items that are shoved under the sofa? If the area under the sofa was covered with fabric to the floor, it would be fine to leave those items if you don't have another spot. However, with the items being visible, it makes your room look a bit cluttered. (when it really isn't compared to many spaces that are posted on here!)

I also think finding larger art vs. the small pieces that you currently have on the walls would be a big improvement.

As for under the couch, yeah it’s a bit of a space problem, I don’t like it either and have thought about how to hide the things under there so they are not as visible.
