Color is missing. Any plans to add a planting bed along fence or in the corner? Some strategically placed very large pots filled with flowering shrubs / annuals on patio? The pergola is a nice add but I’d think about moving it to the sunny end of patio so all 4 sides are open. The curtains will provide shade. I’d put it on the end where afternoon sun angles towards so it will cast some shade on the patio facing side of it. That is, place on west end of patio so sun shines towards it & it casts a shadow towards the east end & so provides a bit more shade. The way furniture is situated now creates a lined up bowling alley look. Some open space between table with umbrella & shaded sitting area would be great. BBQ should be located in convenient spot to get stuff from inside kitchen but also away from table & seating so no one is sitting by heat or smoked out. Great start on your new home & making it yours!
