Then it will just look like more cabinets and you can likely just buy those from the source that supplied the kitchen cabinets.

Sometimes a complementary style in a different finish adds more interest to the room. What are you planning to place above the sideboard??????

Beverly, Thanks for your ideas. I’m thinking of possibly a contrast but as you can see from the photo it’s kind of tucked away. What color if not the walnut stain? I’m thinking of having him build 9’, wall to wall for the best storage. It would be 15-16” in depth to allow enough room for the end chair. 36” height and some display on top. I’m in the process of looking for wallpaper. The millwork and patio door are not finished yet. I’m thinking a creamy off white like rest of the house. Thanks

I loke your middle aper sample and cabinetry the color of the leaves. The space is narrow so I’d preffer a light color cabinet to a darker wood. I think that will make the space feel a bit bigger.

Agree with @Kendrah - I’d keep the piece similar to the wall color so it feels lighter and not too hulky/bulky

how many inches from the back of chair to wall ? it looks tight...if it is not for actual serving I'd do a corner cabinet ...maybe both corners.

We usually ask for drawings with measurements - that space looks too small to accommodate a 15” deep sideboard. As shown the table looks too big for the space you have.

Perhaps a better use for that space would be to build a banquette along the back wall with display shelves above it, then turn the table 90 degrees. But again, without measurements we can’t really know what would work for you.

Eam44, I like the look of banquettes but not the actual use of them. Turning the table does not work due to the niche where the beverage fridge is. The table is from our previous kitchen that was much larger than this kitchen and yes if I were purchasing a new table I would buy a smaller one but this one still works for this space just a little cozier. Thanks for your help.

Herbflavor, There is 20” from the wall to the back of the chair when the chair is pulled out 24” from the table so it works. I don’t like corner cabinets but thanks for your help.
