Can you identify this rose?

This looks like a hybrid tea rose and it came with my house that I bought almost 30 years ago. It was probably 20 years old or more at that time, so it could be around half a century in the ground!It has a nice fragrance, although not strong. The flowers only last a few days. Any idea what rose it might be?

Could be Brandy, introduced early 1980's. In my area, the blooms are often larger than 5", much like Peace. A neighbor's plant stops traffic when it blooms.

How large are the blooms? It reminds me of Medallion, but the blooms of M are huge, pushing 7 to sometimes 8 inches in good conditions.

The blooms are 5 inches at the most. I grew Medallion many years ago, so I don't think it's that one. Medallion was short lived and not that healthy in my yard. This one is practically immortal and never a drop of blackspot.

Definitely not Medallion, then! lol. Your rose is too small, and M was a blackspot magnet in my garden. So when it died, it was good riddance. Loved the flower, hated the plant.

Yes, I felt the same way about Medallion. Good riddance! The flowers do have a similar appearance though. I used to think it might be Medallion, too.

No, I haven't. I tried looking at roses on HelpMeFind, but I didn't know I could post there. How do I do it? Is there a section to ID mystery roses?

Hi, I just went over there....on the left menu, choose Q&A Forum/at the top of the page, choose 'post by category'/the third one down is 'Plant Identification'/ There are posts there and you can add one with photos. I hope that helps!

This bush is healthy, but blooms are sparse. I love the individual flowers, but as a bush, it's not impressive.
