Pea Green looks like a taller plant than the registered 22 inches. Another great post, with pictures that are informative (in regard to plant habit) as well as being filled with eye candy. Southern Cotton is indeed a striking flower, though David has noted low bud count.

Mantis, I would most definitely say Pea Green is much taller than registration-an anomaly usually! Perhaps it is competing with its neighbor, Mr Butters! Like many, this is best year for Southern Cotton so bud count is not an issue this year. It is a short plant so definitely a border plant.

Beautiful! I have had fabulous bloom for the last two days, but no photos as the rains was early morning and and most of the day. doubtless, I missed the Peak as I pulled an unprecedented 977 blooms 2 days ago and 933 last night today there will be pictures. I am still pulling blooms as I only pull in shade, but 500s so far with qite a bit to go but I doubt it will be more than 800 blooms. the perils of gardening,.

Purple sails is a gorgeous one. and your Indian Giver is gorgeous you certainly should post one that good whether it has been posted before or not. Fried Green Tomatoes is looking good this year. Bubblegum Queen is lovely. The bed shots are beautiful! Really lovely post, Kate.

Thanks Kay. I suppose I am in peak but it is hard to tell since there are so many that keep blooming and either instant rebloom or just regular rebloom cycles. I can’t remember a season as beautiful! The rains and storms keep coming here as well. As we know those 100 degree days will be here soon. I hope everyone else has a memorable season as well.

I love the garden shot and your purples are so pretty! Southern Cotton is my favorite. Butter Cream is so eye-catching too.

Keepsake Rosie--is it a slow opener?

The garden shot in the second photo is my favorite of these. It makes the case for fabulous blooming! I'm happy to see you posting so many pinks. It looks like Keepsake Rosie multiplied much better for you than it did for me. It stayed at three fans for years in my garden. Memphis and Rachell Agin are lovely, and thanks for showing and commenting on Bubblegum Queen again. It looks like the ones with huge green center are doing well!

Nancy, Butter Cream is one I tend to take a picture of every day. For a yellow lover like me, it is a major draw!

Debra, Keepsake Rosie has multiplied well. Funny about that area. I had a small tree cut down but did not bore out the stump. The tree has since leafed out from the stump but all the daylilies in that area are flourishing!!

Mantis, I suppose you can say Keepsake Rosie is a slow opener. I am usually out at 6:30 every morning. It is partially open then. It takes about two hours to walk the gardens and take pictures. By the time I circle back to it, it is open. In the second photo it is the pink in the far back and is showing being partially open. That photo is date stamped 7:30.

What is the pink at the bottom of the hay-cutting pic?

Passing Fancy. If it holds true to form in previous years, it will rebloom at least three times in a season.

Butter Cream is glowing. All my yellows so far have done well in this weather.....Pinewood Lily is still calling to me. Stands out from the crowd....Indian Giver was one I grew many many years ago. My first experience in what "purples" look like in my climate. If it had looked like yours I'd have kept it. ......A friend of mine bought Pea Green With Envy and her first bloom this spring was on an 8 inch scape. She likes the bloom enough, so will hope for better as it matures....Although I don't do "purples" much any more Purple Sails is a beauty in your garden....Your whole garden looks incredible this year..............Maryl
