Arg... Just got ready to post and lost all of comments, grr..

    Cosmic Kaleidescope

    Red Venom

    Spiderman

Foxpoint is significantly taller than registered this year with higher branching than registered too. Guess that comes with taller scapes

JosephHudson Memorial has consistently nice flowers, but very short so far.

    Palace Garden Beauty

Friend gifts me a lot of his seedlings, this one is between 7 to 8" on 40" scapes, very eye catching.

Another of his, a pretty pink that has very green edged some years, good clear blooms for these messy days.

A seedling here on 1st yr bloom, very short and wimpy plant, few buds. Growing in too much shade so I will move it to a sunnier location

What do you think of this seedling? Pod parent was Get Jiggy. I really should keep track of pollen parents

    Nancy,

I really like RED VENOM. Great color and I like the watermark. I also like Palace Garden Beauty. The seedling out of Get Jiggy has a wonderful eye. The only drawback for me is that the petals don't appear to overlap in throat. I just don't like the break in the eye as it surrounds the throat. I have had many seedlings that I like that have made it to the compost pile for that very reason.

I see what you mean, David. The eye just really caught my attention. I will still move it to sunlight and see if that makes a difference. Probably will, but maybe not on a good way. It gets practically no sun here, just brighter shade. Red Venom is a great plant, I wished had moved it a foot away from Prismatic this spring when I divided it looked like there was plenty of room between them then...

How tall is your Red Venom. It has been a bit on the short side here and also, of course, more of a rosy red. Very nice Comic bloom. I never considered trying it here.

What a pretty face on your Joseph Hudson Memorial. I talked to another hybridizer today that is switching to doing doubles. The more the merrier I say.............Cosmic Kaleidoscope is always interesting. I tried it once and couldn't say I really liked it or disliked it. It was a weak grower for me and died over winter so I never had to decide to keep it or not.........Big bold face on that yellow. I like yellows so I'm a fan........Maryl

Red Venom is just the right height to me, over 30". I know it is a bit taller than Ashwood Still night and Web of Intrigue closet to it.

Maris, a friend gave me a bunch of prolifs from her garden a couple of years ago. We had below 0 temps over winter and this was one of the survivors. I did start out with 2 though. Nice health looking plant, just 1 fan. Not as dark as pictures but I like the look.

I like your yellow seedling really well and Cosmic Kaleidescope is one I've always liked. And you are lucky if you can beat the rain these days.

My favorites are Red Venom and Palace Garden Beauty, both ones I have grown in the past. Are those Kenny's seedlings? I like both of them. Your two seedlings are striking. Definitely give that first one a better spot.

Yes, Debra, the big yellow and the pink are both Kenny's seedlings. He sent a sibling to the yellow, flower just a bit smaller and shorter, but better plant habits. It just started blooming, but has lots of buds and has grown to a large plant while the taller one is still just 3 fans.
