Exterior Paint Color Help

Please help with some suggestions.

Not interested in painting bricks

currently sides and front of house white in areas and the garage is white with like dark red brick color trim.

Would like to make it look more contemporary if possible.

Should I paint windows trim, doors? do all 1 color or use a couple colors 1 gor body and 1 for the trim?

I like the house the way it is, although, I would not like just having red trim on one side of the house. The house itself looks nice. I would be removing those flat topped shrubs, and putting in some new landscaping. They take away from the house. I would also paint the front door a nice brighter color. Maybe a Teal, or a blue color. I would also add a couple patio size trees to the front yard, and also a couple in the area of the patio in the picture above. It needs a bit of interest. Smaller flowering trees would help a lot.

Maybe change red trim color to something else that looks better with the white?

would not know what to replace tfe boxy bushes . I have nice trees and maples on all sides of house also right now and in front not shown in photo

If you want to move in the contemporary direction replace with white siding in the gables with cedar shakes, Paint the trim urbane bronze and redo the landscaping. Grasses, maybe. I don't like the red trim on the garage. Maybe make it all white.

The two things that jump out at me are the contrasting trim on the garage (it should be the same color as the garage door or the house) and the over-pruned evergreens in the style of 1960.

I would paint all that red trim white, to match the rest of the house. I dont think you really need to do anything to the house itself, unless the paint is now in bad condition. If so, it doesnt show up in the photographs. Put your paint money towards landscaping, which you badly need.

My favorite color with red bricks is a medium to dark mossy green. I would paint everything that. Maybe for a more modern look that seems to be in I would choose black, just for the trim around the windows.

The windows look like black holes; minimize this by painting the window trim and gables a darker color. With your orange brick and brown roof, SW urbane bronze might look nice. Then you could paint the red trim on the garage urbane bronze also. Your house is already close to a midcentury modern look, to accentuate this get a more modern front door in a bright color, and make the new door and the storm door the same color. I agree with folks who say you need to update the landscaping; if you want to DIY, get a local nursery or a landscape designer to draw a plan for you to implement on your own schedule.
