Life interruptions

I really am still here and I check in every day, just not posting much.

This has been a poor start to the year healthwise for me and DH and I know I have shared some with you. probably TMI.

It is taking this old body longer to snap back. I did take some fabric out a few weeks ago, and there it sits. DH is having a few issues, so have to keep track of his appts., plus some house maintenance which he steps back from.

And I am weary!

Upside is we have a new (as opposed to old) great grandson, Luke William, born May 28.

Sad to say, he did not get a baby quilt, but I will try for a big bed one for when he graduates from his crib. That should give me a couple of years!!

Major downside is that our 69 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with Alzheimers. She is single, lives about two hours away from any family, does not have a big social circle. We have all noticed changes in this formerly confident, savvy, retired from a high pressure career, person and we have all tried unsuccessfully to get her to a doctor for a general checkup as a start.

Finally, her older sister took charge and she is now in doctor’s care. She is being very calm and seemingly unconcerned at this point but we know there are challenges ahead.

So along with being weary, I am heartsore. Maybe the two go together. !

I think I have commented before that this forum is my ’family’, the place I can share the ups and downs, and get support, those virtual hugs we all need.

And I would ask that you keep Susanne in your thoughts and prayers! My wholehearted thanks to you all!

Theresa
