A nasty storm just rolled through--strong winds and lots of rain. We are fine here, but lots of people without power around town. Our power flickered several times and went off long enough for the generator to kick on, but it came back on quickly.

Flame of Arnor was new last season. It looks like it is a vigorous plant.

I thought Sunny with a Chance of Wine was dead this spring, but it was just slow coming up. It looks pretty good now.

Flawless in His Eyes is another new to the garden last season. This is the first flower we have seen on it.

Tantrum is new this spring. We bought it because it is a reverse bicolor. We probably should have picked the scape off, but we wanted the pollen.

Idiot Savant took its time getting established, but it looks great now.

Height of Fashion is a small flower on a relatively tall scape.

Remembered Kisses

I really think Spots and Stripes is ugly. We keep it because it is a novelty.

Whiskered Tree Swift just survives here.

So many blooming for you or are these considered earlies? Sunny with a Chance of Wine is so unusual as if someone splashed it with paint.

I like the colors on Idiot Savant. Flame of Arnor looks like a good one to use with your hybridizing.

Flawless in His Eyes caught my eye today, different and I like it. I am in the group that dosen’t like the striped blooms….they look diseased to me.

Spots and Stripes looks like one of my blooms after our recent downpour. Not my cup of tea......... I do like some of the "spattered" patterned daylilies. Anyone know the official AHS designation for it? Sunny With a Chance of Wine is pretty to me. Like a modernist painting.........I also like The Height of Fashion with its delicate lavender coloring............Maryl

I am also in the group of not really caring for the stripes. Like Maryl, I see enough of those kind of blooms after a downpour of rain! Sunny With a Chance of Wine falls into a category of ”interesting” to me. I like the delicate colors of Idiot Savant. Remembered Kisses is also pretty.

Let us know how Flame of Anor continues to perform. Parent Once and for All has been splotchy so far. Remembered Kisses here is not ready to bloom.
