Consider your kitchen as a whole, including lighting and faucet, as your choices are very traditional. I think you could do better getting curves/softness/interest, but in a more updated way.

It's purely a matter of taste. I like the bottom one of those two, but whichever one you like is the one you should choose. None of us here will be in your kitchen, so it doesn't really matter what we think.
