Blooms from the past two days

I took 36 pitures over the past 2 days. I will not post them all, as I will just pick out my favorite ones (it may be close to 36 LOL). We keep getting 10-20 minute down pours. At least they are in the evening and overnight hours. The bugs are vicious this year. If I am wearing shorts at 5 pm, the bugs are feasting. If I wear shorts at 7 am, the bugs are feasting. If I am in the garden at 2 pm, the bugs are feasting. I guess I was itching to share that with you (Dad humor and proud of it). On to the plants. Photos are not always centered as I am running around before work and it looks like I am practicing yoga in the yard to get a picture.

NEON VIOLET: Planted last fall and it has reached its height of 40 inches. Here are two images.

MORGAN CLARICE: Also planted in the fall. This is the FFEO. Looking for better saturation of color on future blooms.

VISION SEEKER: Petals are looking more pink than in my previous yard.

HOT SEAT: Just a wild looking bloom. Grabs my attention. It takes the buds three days to fully open.

THUNDERBIRD DANCER: Different and interesting. I am not sure I am sold on the patterned throats.

DARK WITCH: I was thinking about getting rid of this one, but I do like how the midrib is darker into the throat region. It is consistently the tallest plant in the garden. It has earned a spot.

CLIFFJUMPER: I love this tall one and the blooms are quite large.

FASHIONAIRE: I have to put a couple of Bennetts in this post.

BO KNOWS

FEAR NOT - Love this Emmerich intro

BART ROBERTS

CARIBBEAN WHIPPED CREAM: Just a classic

That is all from me.

I agree that Whipped Creasm is a classic. Who else grows Thunderbird Dancer here? Seems to me that someone else recently posted it.

Has Bart Roberts proven to be quite hardy? I know that many of the evergreen offspring of tet Peppermint Delight are not. Thomas Tew is a notable exception. And Ruby Storm is dormant. Christopher Moody had lower bud count here.

It will be interesting to see how Neon Velvet develops.

Mantis, Bart Roberts was aquired last Spring from Great Expectations Daylilies in Montville OH. It made it through its first winter here without any difficulty. I did not specifically order it, it was a bonus plant. I also grow RUBY STORM and it has no difficulties with the winters here.

I am a fan of the broad flat looks as well as being a documented fan of yellow daylilies so Caribbean Whipped Cream looks good to me! I also like the color on Morgan Clarice. I feel your pain on the bugs. I need a hazmet suit to deter the mosquitos.

Caribbean Whipped cream is lovely. I really like Vision Seeker. Tall ones with large blooms are winners in my garden too so I like Cliff Jumper. Bo Knows is a nice Bennett and Fear Not is a favorite here too. Nice post!

Vision Seeker looks great, especially if the base color goes more pink....... Caribbean Whipped Cream I remember seeing a decade or so ago posted by someone (you?). I loved that big flat face. I looked everywhere for a rust free source and couldn't find it at the time. Reminds me a bit of my own long time favorite Sour Puss. I think it's my favorite of yours today................Maryl

Thunderbird Dancer looks fabulous. If you get tired of patterned throats, you can send that one my way. Just from looking, I'd say Morgan Clarice has Precious Candy in its parentage. Pretty colors! Fear Not looks good. Nan sent me that one, but my mowers mowed it down, and I think probably killed it.

Cliff Jumper, Fashionaire [pretty color] and Vision Seeker [great eye] are my favorites of these. Hot Seat is unusual and taking that long to open would drive me crazy!

Your garden looks good. Everything seems to be adjusting to your new space.

Mantis, we grow Thunderbird Dancer. We haven't decided yet if we like it. Ours has never had the nice pattern that David's is showing. The flowers are small too. Ours, however, is planted in the worst spot in the front garden--too close to shrubs and trees with lots of roots.

Neon Violet is an interesting color combination. I also like Vision Seeker and Cliff Jumper.
