Looking for suggestions on paint color for the garage. My home faces East.

I agree. Same color as the siding.

Not crazy about the bright red door, so maybe a deep blue would work with brown brick and pale gray siding (I can't tell if that's gray or blue siding.)

Paint the drain pipe to match the siding - don't highlight it

I'd paint it the same color as the stucco. I really like the red door.

I like the red door and dont mind the drainpipe either, but, the white of the garage door, takes away from the whole house. It should match the siding, so it all blends in together.

If it were me, I’d paint the window trim, siding and garage a dark grey. This will eliminate how broken up your house feels and will feel more modern.

@Maureen I have considered painting the whole house a darker color. I bought this 5 years ago and they used contractor grade paint and its already coming off on the wood part in the back/sides

    Those white windows are distracting.

    I'd repaint.

I like Maureen's suggestion, but your brick isn't like the last picture she posted. Your brick is more brown. So look at grays that lean brown, not blue. The current siding color doesn't work for me. If you change the siding then look at a different front door color if the red doesn't work anymore. It might be better as an oranger red. Orange-red is also authentic MCM. The house I lived in as a child in the mid-60s had an orange-red front door.

You all inspired me to just repaint the home anyway. Now to figure out what color. I'm not changing the door color.

Here's a house with similar warm ivory, taupe, and gray stone with gray roof. If you go in the cream taupe direction, then paint the window trim a lighter tone of that. Or do a taupe in the gray direction, like the dormers, again painting the trim a cream taupe. The brown trim on the windows isn't do the house any favors.

I like that orange-red accent window trim

The orange trim looks great in photo above because the siding color is dark and muted. The gray roof is dark as well.

Is the white trim around the windows vinyl? If so, it will be difficult to paint. For a modern look you should minimize (or eliminate) the contrast between the narrow white trim and the wider brown trim. So if the narrow white trim is paintable you will have many choices, but if it isn't, then you need a much lighter color for the brown trim. That orange-red door color would look good with your brick and the roof, especially if you use a warmer color for the siding, such as taupe or beige. As jck910 said, please paint the downspout to blend in with the siding. With just a few tweaks you could have the same modern style in front as in your nicely done back yard!

Yes the window white trim is vinyl

What would a stained wood or wood-look door look like?
