Hi everyone, my first post here.

After a decade of dreaming of my cosy patio rosarium I've finally started working on it.

Well, the story is after me talking years about it, my daughter just went to some local gardening store a month ago and gifted me few 2' (h) x 1' (w) pre-grown bushes.. She assumed beautiful and fragrant and picked them all Papa Meilland.

Great!.. well, turned out not so easy to me.

I had some basic "agriculture experience" when a kid, and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.

After keeping the shrubs in original pots for few days, I repotted them into the rectangular containers with adding some potting soil to fill the planters up. The planters are spacious enough (well, at least at this time) and have 1.5" grated space at the bottom for drainage.

The location is Chilliwack (next to North of WA), and our zone is 8-8a. Must be just right!

However here is what I get, the flowers (not as big as I see them on the tags) stay beautiful for a day the most, and next day shrivel/dry and stay like that for 1-1.5 week until the petals fall off..

The foliage looks healthy, the yellow/dry leaves are very few, no white/black/yellow/rust discolorations on the foliage.. some few of aphids which I remove regularly (the rest Lady Bugs do, saw some).. I let the soil to dry to approx. 2" deep between the waterings, so I water them 2-3 times a week, sometimes the other day, sometimes after the other.

The temperature currently is in 24-28 / 75-82F range (13-16 / 55-61F at night), which is just perfect according to Papa Meilland's requirements, but..

There happened only two of 3" flowers that beautifully blossomed for about a week, one in the beginning (3 weeks ago) and one does currently. The rest ~10 I get like (the last photo):

Can anybody advise what's wrong?

I suspect overwatering.. but, it's been mentioned everywhere these roses are thirsty, and it is getting quite hot outside.

I also noticed that one flower which currently looks kinda like it's supposed to, is between two other dry ones, and it looks away from direct sun, so.. underwatering?

Or, too much sun? Again, according to requirements, Papas need 6-8 hours of the direct sun light, and my rosarium is facing perfectly south..

I am totally lost. Please, HELP!
