Patricia Colwell Consulting is right. The tv would look better over or on one of the units. Also centre the units on the wall so they are closer to the fireplace. You can add a plant on the one closest to the window.

IMO you want to place the sideboard centered between the fireplace and the outside wall.

Here are some options for the space on either side of the fireplace.

Bring cabinets closer to FP, center lamps plus symmetrical art prints or frames. Or use gallery wall sets.

We suggest removing all items on top of the cabinets, aside from a lamp (or three candlesticks). Then look at getting some matching artwork for over both cabinets, or look at doing shelves over one side and artwork over the other.
