Once again, having to play catch up!

Working two jobs and wanting to play with the plants has not been easy.

JUST ANOTHER YELLOW: I love this plant. Substance is stiff as cardboard. Tall and 3 to 4 way branching.

BUTTER CREAM: It must love its new yard and maybe the spring rains. I have never seen it perform like this before. The blooms are massive.

IT'S THE RAGE

JOY TO BEHOLD: Love all of the subtle colors in this bloom.

IMAGINE HEAVEN: I have a few that look like this in the garden. I will give it another year.

CHARM CITY CERISE GLOW: Looks like a bug took a bite out of the petal. The color grabs my attention.

PRAIRIE PINK LACE: Love the ruffling.

WONDER OF IT ALL: some of the blooms hang up. When it fully opens, it is spectacular.

SPACECOAST THORNY DEVIL

MYSTERY OF THE AGES

LAVENDEr BLUE PLANET: FFEO in my garden. Looking forward to subsequent blooms.

ENTWINED IN THE VINE: Another one which either loves the new yard or has enjoyed all of the spring rains, as the scapes are finally reaching registered heights.

Two jobs? When, indeed, do you find time to garden?!! Love the yellows of course. Butter Cream always puts on a show here and I do like a bloom with substance like you said Just Another Yellow has. Prairie Pink Lace is a pretty one and you are so right about WOIA. What a good picture of Mystery of the Ages.

I'm with Kate. That Butter Cream clump is fantastic, and Prairie Pink Lace and Mystery of the Ages are my other two favorites.

Very nice David. Butter Cream is a nice yellow by that I mean not a harsh mustard yellow. I didn't know that your doing two jobs now. Do you like your new space? Your children must be full grown and out of school now.

Just Another Yellow is wonderful! The hybridizer was too modest. I also like It's the Rage and Joy to Behold.

Julia - My oldest children are 21 and 19. The 21 y.o. is out of the house. The 19 y.o. is still in school. Then I have 14 y.o. twins and a 13 y.o. As far as the space I have to garden, it is manageable. I will have to make another bed soon as I have been selected to be a test garden for various daylily hybridizers. This will start sometime in the Fall. Yes, I have 2 jobs. I have a part time private therapy practice 2 evenings a week. That is all I can tolerate. As far as my new space, I think the plants like it. If I had more land, I would have more plants and my yard would look like Paul Lewis'. If anyone wants to see some patterned throats and toothy daylilies, just look up Paul Lewis on youtube. He has daily videos of his gardens during bloom season. He can be quite funny at times.

Nancy - JUST ANOTHER YELLOW is a Curt Hanson intro, so I understand his humor with the name. In my opinion, it is not just another yellow.

Just another Yellow is a nice one. I like Space Coast Thorny Devil and always, Entwined in the Vine. But Prairie Pink Lace is my favorite today, David.

Prairie Pink Lace is my favorite of these! I love the form and color. CHARM CITY CERISE GLOW is a very nice color. Just Another Yellow is a nice yellow, lots of green. It reminds me a bit of Siloam Amazing Grace, which also has very thick substance.

David: I can remember the first time we met you so I could pick up some daylilies at your place and at that time I believe it was your young daughter and son running around. How times flies.

The yellows of course are wonderful. But I tend to like all things yellow in daylilies......... The one that got me to look it up was Joy to Behold. There's that big open face form I like so much. Interesting to me that it was by Shooter as I've grown several of theirs that were this form and liked them (Sour Puss is an example). They seem to have a thing for it.........Prairie Pink Lace, Wonder Of It All, and Mystery of Ages are also calling to me. This is a really good post from my viewpoint. Lots of the form I favor. Nice to see so many.......Maryl

Mystery of the Ages looks very good here (a recommendation of yours), but has not been a fast multiplier yet. Yes, "massive" is the word to describe Butter Cream this year.If you're testing other hybridizers' plants, you must have space. As for my yard, it brings smiles from the neighbors, not smiles of appreciation, but " he's loco" smiles.
