FEATURED BLOOMS FROM THE LAST FEW DAYS

I have been busy with work and other activities, so I haven't had a chance to post any pictures. Tomorrow, I head to Cottage Gardens to visit Brent and his 4000 + daylilies. I plan on coming home with a few. I have to make the 5 hour round trip worth it. He reported that he is at peak bloom. I will be taking numerous pictures and will post them this weekend. These are some of the featured blooms from the past few days.

MAMA'S CHERRY PIE: The pattern is variable throughout the season.

BIG BLUE: I thought that I had gotten rid of it. I guess I missed a piece and here it is in a new garden. I guess it will stick around.

Love the ruffled seedling. Crying in the Wildernes and Mystery of the Ages are almost spotless blooms-so pretty. The Ellison seedling has a soft color and ruffles to boot! Mama’s Cherry Pie always looks interesting.

Your Victorian Lace X Boundless Beauty is gorgeous! How big is the bloom? My other favorites on this post are Crying in the Wilderness and Mama's Cherry Pie.

Debra - the seedling is 6.5" . It looks a lot bigger due to the petal width.

Such a nice seedling, almost looks artificial so perfect. I always like Mama's Cherry Pie too, as much for the name as the beautiful face. My mom made the best cherry pie...

Boundless Beauty has had a lot of hang-ups here, so it could use some progeny that open better. I am glad that you brought to my attention the merits of Mystery of the Ages. Has been slow to increase here, though. (Not exactly atypical of Karol's.)

I think it was year 3 or 4 then it took off. I have 4 double fans of it lined out for sale. Most of them threw scapes. I still have a 5 fan clump in the garden. I will be anxious to see how it increases next year in its new home.
