I have an open loft style layout of my home which makes the kitchen and living feel like a shared space. The difficult part is the kitchen has checkered flooring which seems to make choosing an area rug for the living room area difficult. I can’t figure out a rug that doesn’t clash or make it feel too messy/chaotic. Does anyone have any tips? What rug would look ok?
