Before and After: Bathroom

Some before and after pictures of my bathroom renovation.

Kendrah, over the years I have seen a few large houses in the suburbs where the man of the house wanted a urinal and it was designed into the space. I wouldn't want to sit at that toilet with the urinal right there in my face! I would want the urinal in its own urinal room, so I wouldn't have to see it!

The house we rented while building had two separate water-closets in the master, his and hers. Not a bad idea, but not one I needed to copy in my new house.

Having scrubbed flat surfaces this morning after an overnight upset stomach---do NOT call me when someone is sick all over the textured wall behind that toilet.

Is the far right vanity door knob crooked on purpose?

several bathrooms and figured this one would be great with the urinal. I highly recommend it, if you have the space.

Yes. The vanity door knob is not fully installed. Is in my to-do list.

Wow, what a dramatic change! I'm sure you're thrilled to actually be able to use your lovely new bathroom- congratulations!

The original bathroom was a bunch of nice items with no connection to one another. The new bathroom is a symphony of unique things that blend nicely -- it's anything but cookie cutter.

Where do shower /tub towels hang?

I neither love nor hate the urinal.

Wasteful of space and cleaning effort. How much time does one spend on the toilet in a typical day? 10-15 minutes tops? So two rooms are sitting empty most of the day.

Who throws up on the wall behind the toilet?

If we're thinking about cleaning problems, I'd be more concerned with what appears to be simple drywall behind the urinal.

That sure is a radical transformation. Are you also redoing the rest of the house? Very higly designed. I like the black accents, the frosted glass door.

I might simplify the behind the tub stuff and the greenery, twigs / sticks and roll up some small towels to clean up some things visually - but I also like a good bath sheet, and those don't roll into a tiny Pinterest ready roll!

Not a fan of the urinal unless it was separate.

And really if you are vomiting all over the wall in the bathroom BEHIND the toilet, you may have bigger worries than cleaning it up.

Big transformation. Curious where all the extra space come from. Original bathroom was a shower/tub combo with a toilet and double vanity. The new bathroom is much larger.

Not a fan of the huge trough sink. Where do you even place anything down?

Is there anywhere to hang towels?

No to the urinal for me. I am the one who does the toilet cleaning. If my husband wanted a urinal then he would be the one cleaning it.

Wow! Doesn't even look like the same space. I like the drama of it! Urinal doesn't bother me. I mean -- it can't be any worse than cleaning up the inevitable piddle that ends up on the floor with the men using a regular toilet.

@porkchop_z5b_MI it's not about being any worse it now becomes having to clean 2 things.
