We just purchased this Ocean Alexander 42 ft boat and it really needs moderized and updated. Our plans are to live on it in the summers for about 4-5 months. Here is the living room area and no doubt the carpet has to go (the color is horrific). Iam thinking of putting wood down or new carpet so don't try and match the carpet coloras it is, I can throw a rug over for now. I am stuck with the brown couch (not my favorite) as it was just re-upholstered by the previous owners and in great shape. The two chairs I can get rid of or re-upholster or keep one. Table can go and thinking of a solid wood table as it is the dining table also. See example of table I was thinking about but open to options as this may be a bit heavy for this little room. There is an narrow empty corner next to the couch and sliding doors I was thinking a narrow cabinet wine cooler with a lamp on top. Boat needs window coverings also, any suggestions. Kitchen thinking of a quartz or corian material in a white color to lighten up and modernize the area. Want to create lighter clean warm inviting look with soft colors. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. The photos are how the previous owner decorated the boat. Space is valuable on a boat.

AS YOU CAN SEE THE WINDOWS ARE ODD SHAPED. CURTAINS BLOW AROUND TO MUCH. FLOOR LIFTS UP TO ACCESS THE ENGINES IS WHY YOU SEE THE METAL ON THE FLOOR. SEE THE CORNER ON THE LEFT OF THE COUCH? THIS IS THE AREA I WAS THINKING A NARROW WINE CABINET AND LAMP. GIVE SOME HEIGHT. THIS IS NOT MY STUFF ON THE COUNTER OR WALLS.
