Kitchen Reno question

I’m in the middle of a kitchen reno. Everything removed; walls and ceiling down to studs. Dry wall was put up this week. The holes which were cut out in ceiling for recessed lights are not lined up where I would want them. I contacted the project manager, and he told me not to worry and that they can be changed later to where I want them—“no big deal”. When the plasterer showed up today, I told him my concern. He said he saved the cutouts and could patch up the ceiling later if needed. Does this seem right? I don’t want a bunch of patches and replastering. I’m paying way too much for this new kitchen. Btw, the project manager is coming over on Monday.
