First furniture is put in a room along with rugs and THEN paint is selected.

If you are keeping your floors as is notice the yellow undertones or warm tones. Colors are generally warm or cool. Cool colors have gray undertones. Pinks can have either as do other colors. Make sure your paint and all furnishing are in warm tones to really be cohesive.

Agree w Rho - give us some clue as to what will be put in this room. And if you say ‘oh all new furniture will be used’ then you’re still not off the hook - a rug, sofa/other upholstered items are needed to be known in order for the room to feel cohesive.
