Yes to putting the cooktop on the same wall as the fridge. If you don't cook a lot, do you the wall ovens? A range might work better for you.

Perhaps keep the existing sink as a cleanup sink, and add a prep sink to the island. That gives you a prep zone, a cooking zone, and a cleanup zone.

If budget allows, bring the cabinets to the ceiling, and make all the base cabinets drawers. You will be amazed at how much storage space you will gain!

Floor plan with all dimensions is needed to help with the best advice. Any other layout advice is really almost useless as a starting point without context.

Are those marble floors? It is hard to tell. I would be surprised. How far do they go? I would not want to design a brand new kitchen around keeping the floors. It may limit what you can do .
