The wooden ceiling already brings warmth — keep it natural. To enhance it:

Random thoughts:

- I like your basics. Lovely wall color. Like the bed and the mirror. Like the light bedding, which contrasts nicely with the dark walls, though the bedding doesn't exactly scream "moody".

- The nightstands need to be moved closer to the bed (so you can reach them), and you need lamps -- I'd lean towards something silver-metalic. Mercury glass? Be wary of your lamp size -- many people skimp too much on lamp size.

- Hate the wadded-up look curtains. I'd replace them with simple drapes in a print with plenty of brown to tie into the surroundings -- but also a bit of blue or coral or something else bright to bring in just a touch of contrast.

- You need floor rugs by each side of the bed. Sheepskins would look amazing /would tie into the rustic ceiling.

Well your ceiling has a green undertone as does Urbane Bronze and your carpeting as well as the low e glass in your windows, so immediately you are going to fight the green. Its all around this space just look out the widows. A dark moody aethetic is often done by color drenching the room. I think to get the look you want you are not going to be 100% happy unless you do that. What is under the wall to wall carpet? Any chance there is wood? I find layering an area rug over carpeting redundant but if its the only option you have then.....

Paint : Farrow & Ball London Clay. Don't dismiss it by the paint chip. It plays quite dark on the walls. If you do not want the price that comes with it Ben Moore has the formula in their systen. F & B is known for their saturated colors. It will be close in the BM but not exact.

I am going to have to concur with everyone else about the window treatments. Something simpler. If you want them light then they need to be warmer and black out lined so you aren't getting the filtered light through them. That is really detrimental to the look youre trying to achieve. A warm creamy velvet or linen with simple pleats and rings will go a long way here. Again line them in a black out liner.

If you change the draperies--hang them just above the widows. The current panels do not visually raise the ceiling--they make the windows look like they dropped.

Following. This is a nice room! Listen to the pros about the lighting altering the color appearance. I would get canvases or cardboard 16x20 or bigger and do paint samples to hang in the room same wall. That way you can see all the variations of each before you paint again .

Do you want it to end up looking espresso brown, mocha brown, caramel, charcoal gray, . . . ? Because this will help pros help you to address undertones they see in the room.

You can also pick the darkest color from some paint chips that show 3-4 colors light to dark. That can show you what the undertones look like.
