We are thinking just one mirror on the right side, would this work? For decorative art on the consoles we want to keep it simple with just a few pieces (no clutter). Appreciate any suggestions / insights ....

I'm not great with decorating advice, just wanted to chime in say I LOVE your foyer! Wish I had those stone walls... And your door is beautiful, it's all beautiful - I want it!

You might want to consider a colorful indoor outdoor area rug to withstand the weather at your front entrance.

This illustrates why IMO the mirror should be close to the height of your windows.

I am not one for being symmetrical, but choosing things that are complimentary and an extension of your living space would be a suggestion. kind of sets the tone for what's to come...

The rug samples posted by Beverly look great! The colors are much better than the current mis-matched rug. And her rugs cover the odd tile insets on the floor.

You have a zillion posts with no way to go to your other ones to even begin to undestand how this space relates to the rest of the house . I like stone walls but no context makes it hard to even begin to help. I for sure would not add more pattern in the space , boucle fabric in a space where mudyy boots might be the norm probably not a great choice . The mish mash of flooring is not ideal . I do not think that mirror belongs in that space it looks like a bathroom mirror. I think the consoles are too light looking and the fact they match is not good. I would look at much more substantial mirror and huge piece of art on those stone walls .The way Lyn treats a large foyer is so much better .

So much going on my eyes were all over the space to land on something. As previously pictured a bench on one side that coordinates with the console on the other, as I would not like to pull a seating bench out over a possibly wet floor. Introduce some greenery in the form of a tall indoor plant. I am assuming this is not a common mud room, but a space where guests would enter - a coat tree with umbrella stand would be helpful as well, unless you want to go old school and haul guests coats to another room. Think about the actual use, and work aesthetics based on objective.

We haven't seen a wide shot of the space so this advice might be off the mark. What I see is lots of stars in a relatively tight space - stone walls, impressive door, complicated floors. I would consider painting the trim around the windows the same color as the walls to give the eye a place to rest.

In addition to wall decor, the space definitely needs some plants. If you are going to use a rug, purchase a larger one that works with the warm tones of the space.

I find the symmetry of the two tables off putting. Remove one and live with it like that for a while. Perhaps you can use the second one elsewhere in your home if it is too late to return it.

Also, those walls are so beautiful it is really nice to see one just naked with no table or artwork hanging from it at all.

Select a rug size that covers the inlaid stone entirely. It is confusing to see it peaking out from the rug. I'd go with a rich woven natural fiber rug. Texture but no print. Your walls and floors have enough movement that a printed rug is too busy.
