Go ahead and plant in pots. I used to soak (in water--no peroxide) until the seed sprouted. I no longer do that. I soak for just a couple of days (in the refrigerator--cuts down on mold) and then plant. The aim is to rehydrate the seed, not sprout it.

Several years ago I had a cross I was really excited about. I soaked the seeds for 3 weeks with no sign of germination. I put them back in the refrigerator for another week with no sign of germination. I didn't want to discard them so I planted them. They sprouted immediately. It seems some seeds want to be in potting medium to sprout.

Many growers don't soak the seed at all. Don't make it harder than it has to be. Good luck!
