Some August Blooms

Not much is blooming now - just a few rebloomers and a late.

White Ambrosia started reblooming yesterday.

The Color of Wonderful has two rebloom scapes going now.

So Irresistible is reblooming.

My late-blooming seedling is the only clump going now.

That white seedling is beautiful!! I don’t have any clumps now-just a forest of dried scapes!! The Color of Wonderful has been reblooming here but with real feel heat at 115 the color has been anything but wonderful! White Ambrosia is a gorgeous bloom.

Julia and Sherry- I probably will register the near white seedling in the future - when I know how it performs here over time and when it increases some more. I think I have 11 fans now. I like to have at least 16-20 fans before registering.

Kate - I know you've had some miserable heat recently. Today it's nice and cool here with highs in the low 80s.

White Ambrosia is very pretty. Good shape and nice ruffles. Your white seedling is looking very good too. Lots of blooms for this late in the season.......... The Color of Wonderful rebloomed here too even when it was a first year plant. Unfortunately as you know it never got to be a second year plant - both times I tried it. It was a nice pink though............Maryl

Maryl and Kate - It's good to know The Color of Wonderful was a nice rebloomer for both of you. It was an excellent rebloomer in Nashville, many years reblooming on every scape.

It looks as though the blooms on the white seedling have good size. Any idea on the parents?

Mantis - The blooms on the white seedling are 7+ inches with scapes ranging from 30-36 inches tall this year. The pod parent is August Frost and the pollen parent is Winter's Angel.
