Anyone use brass hanging rails in their kitchen?

I may be watching too many episodes of For the Love of Kitchens, but love the idea of using hanging rails for things i use every day, like the measuring cup I use for protein powder or my butter warmer (really tiny stainless steel pot), my Kalita pour over, or my favorite Le Creuset 10” enameled cast iron skillet (it’s pink). I am not doing a period kitchen by any means, or if I am, the period is 1960s with plain, flat front cabinets, so it’s not about the ”ye olde time-y kitchen” look. I love the practicality of having the things i use to hand. That said, I don’t want it to look out of place, and I realize most items should be stowed to stay clean. Do you have hanging rails in your kitchen? Do you love them or barely use them? Are they kitch? Untidy? Thoughts? Thanks.

I swoon for the look, but don’t have such hanging rails in the kitchen - although have used them and seen them.

Couple things I wonder about:

1. Will the hung things scrape and ding the wall? Depends on what things and what wall covering I suppose. Hung pots on a painted wall would be an example of “yes”.

2. Will the hooks swing and dance merrily away when you are trying to get the thing hooked on? I have that problem with a wall-mount hanging rail for keys. Get nice big, weighty hooks.

3. Will the brass tarnish? Do we care?

Ahh, who cares - the look is so cool, a subtle pinstripe line of warm brass, and in my opinion works for a wide range of kitchen styles.

Another question: how often do the items get cleaned of the grease and dust?

Yeah, thats the thing. I could only really use it for the things i use every day. So how convenient would that be?
