Hello! We are looking to install awnings over our home’s back deck. Looking for advice from those of you who have installed them. Are retractables reliable? The motorized worries me, seems it might be prone to breaking down. But the manual seems like a pain.

How about permanent ones? Is it hard to find people to remove the awning for the winter & put it back up in the Spring? How big is the awning, when removed? How much space is needed for storage?

And brands, any advice on best brands?
