Couldn’t resist posting another photo of Olfactory Evidence. It is so nice to have this kind of blooming late in the season for me. This is today.

Love the photo of Olfactory Evidence-so many nice blooms. The hosta and allium look good together. Your foliage still looks green! Mine is several shades of brown, tan and ecru!!!

Never boring Sherry. Boring will come later in about December. That's when you usually step in and pick up our enthusiasm again with the daylily alphabet in January.......The two daylilies are pretty. I always like a nice yellow at any time of the season..........I want to tell you what I saw the other day. A new rebloom scape on Orange Smoothie. YUP. Pretty amazing given the time of year here and our triple digit heat..........I always like garden pictures. I've read a bit about some of the new Allium introductions they have, but thought they still only bloomed in the spring early summer (depending on where you live and your climate). I may be confused, but is the Hosta /Allium Combo from now, August, or was that picture taken in June?.........Maryl

Maryl, the hosta/allium photo is from today. This particilar allium is considered sterile. The spring blooming allium were a nightmare here…seedlings popping up all over the gardens and hard to remove. The seeds persisted for years.

This is the only allium I grow now and it does blooms here in August. It is rather short averaging about 12 - 14 inches tall.

How nice you will have rebloom on Orange Smoothie!

Kate, my late bloomers all have good foliage. All of the rest look awful. I think I only took one garden shot this season because the foliage looks so bad.

Millienium is fast catching on as a long-blooming border plant. Bloomed earlier here, though clumps varied.
