help with accent pillows

Sofa and loveseat are the same material. The area rug is ivory and beige. The picture over the sofa has orange, purple and blues (I know it needs to be lowered). I found pillow covers on Etsy that I like. I want two pillows on the sofa in a corner and two on the loveseat in the corner. The two on each should be stacked..for instance, one that is 20 inches and the one in front either 18 or 16. If I have too many pillows they will end up on the floor. I like mid-century modern/retro style and I like colors. I attached two pictures of my sofa and two pillows I liked from Etsy. How do I pull this together? Do I use a plain color as the larger and use the patterned pillow in front and in a smaller size? Should I buy two of the same pattern and put one on each sofa? Thanks

Great pillows & nice with art. IMO I’d place each of these pillows in front of a solid color pillow that is of a color pulled from the pillow that will be in front of it & also from the art. The red / orange tones are in art & in both pillows & that’s the element that ties them together, I’d try a solid red orangy tone pillow - the same one for both 20” pillows. Try paint chips to match the reddish orange tone from art & carry it with you when picking out the solid tone pillows.

You had another thread, exact same question, art, topic etc two weeks ago, and many suggestions!

You buy a few that suit you/ the colors, be prepared to return any you don't like and "play" until the arrangement pleases you. This is the purpose of the toss pillow; accent and versatility.! Not a static, never to be changed, or moved or switched: ) item.
