kitchen remodel ideas.

Need help ideas. I love the windows as it draws in a lot of natural lights but want to replace that table with something that’s surges as seating but with storage. So maybe an island with storage or peninsula. I’m in dire need of counter space too.

show the dimensions and the fridge wall too. there appears to be a gap and some walled area to left of fridge...if you can calculate inches available maybe a tall pantry there. Are you planning a full kitchen renovation or what exactly ?

If it's a full renovation adding a peninsula or island you need to post a floor plan showing all dimensions, doors, windows, etc.

If it is a full remodel, I would have cabinets going all the way to the ceiling to provide extra storage for less used items. Yes, you will most likely need a step-stool to reach, but every inch counts if the house is short on storage spaces.

Hard to really comment without dimensions and knowing if this is a full remodel or not but this give you an idea of the existing kitchen if you add-on a peninsula and showing with a wood floor.

Please add pictures of the rest of the room. You really need storage- that will help with counterspace.

I think what might serve you best there is a banquette with storage drawers and an expandable dining table.

I'm not sure the OP is planning a full remodel.

We need more information.
1. What is the scope of the project? Full remodel of the Kitchen and table space? Only replacing the table? Something else?
2. Do you have table space elsewhere? E.g., Dining Room?
3. If a full remodel, then we need a fully-measured layout of the spaces involved. See the Featured Answer in the "New to Kitchens? Read Me First!" thread for more information.
4. If not looking for a full remodel, have you looked into other areas that could be converted into pantry or similar space? An under-used or seldom-used closet, for example.
5. What is the width of the current refrigerator?
6. What is the width of the refrigerator alcove?
7. It looks like a door to the left of the refrigerator - where does it lead?
8. What kind of storage do you have in the existing cabinets (if you're keeping them)? Full-depth shelves in both bases & uppers? Stationary shelves in the base cabinets? Are they adjustable? Rollout Tray Shelves (ROTS) in the base cabinets?
9. How many shelves in each cabinet (upper & base)?
Regarding needing more counterspace - decluttering will help.

We would also need to see the entire kitchen (all walls) for better suggestions.
