Thanks again to whoever brought the yucca that grows on a stem. It has more than three flower stalks now and is gorgeous. It has side shoots. Is it safe to dig them up, or will I mess up the mother plant?

Screenwriter, you are most likely talking about Yucca recurvifolia. It is very robust so the offsets that appear from the ground can be dug out without affecting the mother plant.

However, if you want to propagate we have a large supply of mature stems that can be cut and are ready to be planted for rooting. (Nobody wants them).

Lester, I would love to have them. I am teaching eight children about gardening and starting to discuss propagating. Would that be too many?

I don't have anything on your want list, but as usual you have something I'd love to trade for. So will throw this out there to see if you'd have any interest in swapping Hemiboea subcapitata for seedlings of either Iris foetidissima or Stachys officinalis/monieri. I have both a dark and a lighter pink of the latter so seedlings could be any shade of pink.

Karen, is Evita happy? If not, I can bring some that are growing.

I may have a couple of tree peony babies I can dig, will either be white or pink (mother plant was a beautiful white with some blush but I've got some deep pink ones in the area that could be a pollen parent so who knows), and fall is a good time for planting them. And I have more of the Hope's Wine saxifraga stolonifera if anyone wants.

I also have quite a few houseplants, philodendrons, hoya, things like that, if anyone wants.

Katie, I would love the tree peony babies, saxifraga and hoya. What would you like for your garden?

Val, the Evita never emerged above ground. Would love to try again.

Evita doesn't wake up until late May or June. I'll bring those growing now.

I was going to dig up the peony babies but I think they succumbed to the drought sadly. I'll still have the saxifraga and the hoya. I have a few different kinds of hoya, wilbur graves china, rosita, rosita splash (has silver speckles), lacunosa super silver if there's anything specific you'd like to pick. I'm sorry about the tree peonies, next year I'll try to see if I can get them again.

That's okay, Katie. Years and years ago I got a hoya at the swap. The flowers are pale pink; I don't know which one it is, but I really enjoy it. What about Rosita and Wilbur Graves China.
