Agreed. They seem to look better when they are in very wind sheltered areas. Alas for the only Musa basjoo I tried, wind sheltered also meant 'winter sun sheltered', so it died during the polar vortex winters. It might not have made a difference, but I think someone else in my neighborhood had one, on the south side of their house, that survived.
