You can bring colors you like in rug, wall art, throw blanket...etc

I would be calling a good tile guy and getting quotes because I could not live with all of that gray. Not in the master BR, the one that I would be using every day. If it was a secondary bathroom, I would close the door and ignore it.

Looks like the shower base & glass can be salvaged. Demo the shower walls (the accent tile stripe makes it all the worse) and bathroom floor. Paint the walls and vanity. Replace the lighting.

I would start by painting the wall a soft white. .Then I would I get towels that incorporate gray, blue and white.

I like gray for a bathroom and have two in two different homes. But my vanities are white.

I woukd remove the two oval mirrors and oversized wall sconce from above the sinks and replace it with a single framed wall to wall mirror with lighting above the mirror.

I redid the bedroom simply because your picture showed a very dark room without any lights on in the room. I'm showing an ivory rug which would compliment the room nicely.

For the bathroom, I would simply paint all the wall white, it makes a big difference. You can coordinate the colour of your bath towels to your bedroom.

The mirrors over the vanity look too small. I see that the one wall switch is limiting the size. I'd address this either with a full wall mirror or medicine cabinet mirrors.

I’m torn between paint and paper

Paper - you're going to have to manage the scale of the pattern of the tile with the pattern of the wallpaper in addition to aligning the colors (make sure they go together).

Get it wrong and it will be annoyingly busy and you'll feel it. Get the scale/proportion between the two patterns right, and it will be busy but depends on your tolerance for pattern in a smaller area if it feels good or not.

Paint - you just have to get the color right.

I would get rid of that chandelier first and foremost, the free standing tub would be going right behind it. Repaint the walls a warmer color and vanity a navy blue and "maybe" the gray tile will become more palatable.

I happen to like gray but that sconce is the cheesy part of this space . Paint the walls adifferent color add a nice bunch odffluffy white towels and I would do 2 rectangular mirrors with a bath bar above each.and those curtains have to go

I had planned on getting rid of those curtains for sure as well as the lighting fixtures

Also to ci_lantro - unfortunately, at this time replacing the tile is not an option - if it were, I wouldn’t be needing thr help!

Travel, please don’t fret this. It is perfectly lovely and functional. I’ve circled back and think a smokey blue color could work?

I would paint the bedroom and bathroom walls a soft white (not yellow-toned, something that goes with the gray cabinets) to brighten both rooms. Get a different chandelier, sconce, and curtains, as you plan to do. Then you have the opportunity to find colors for accessories without trying to work around all those gray walls.

The quick fix is too repaint the walls a non-gray color.

Are the floors and shower wall tile more of a taupe mix? They don't look gray compared to the GRAY vanity.

Painting the vanity white or a lighter taupe would also be an option.

I like that wall scone it's really different than I ever saw and you could at colored towels or rugs of the color you want I kind of like green with the gray but it could be blue blue works add some art too
