What are you doing in your bathroom that might cause stains?

Yes, quartz can stain. But we have white quartz in our master bathroom and have no problems with it. We also don't use a ton of product or dye hair or anything like that. So it depends on how you treat your counters.

I am so glad I didn't do quartz in my kid's bathroom though. Guaranteed it would have been ruined.

Make-up can stain. Also other toiletries. That's my concern. I've never had quartz counters anywhere. I want solid white so granite doesn't seem to be an option.

If you want solid white, I'd stick with Corian. As you know, it doesn't stain. I'd not get the kind with integrated sink. I think it is more interesting and attractive to have a different undermount sink.

Yes, my kitchen counters are white Corian with a large Kohler porcelain on cast iron single-bowl sink. 22 years old and still looks new. But for re-sale, Corian doesn't seem to be trendy so that's why I'm looking at quartz.

Corian is pristine condition will help with resale more than stained quartz for sure.

I have used Cambria White Cliff in two master bathrooms and no issues removing any stains, including brown hair dye. Spray stain with Lysol cleaner w/bleach, let sit for a few minutes and hair dye stains come right out. I always use a facecloth to place warm/hot hair appliances on the quartz counter, just in case.

What makes you think quartz will stain? I have had a white MSI quartz countertop in my bathrooms for the past 6 years. I dye my hair every 6 weeks and have no stains. I also dye hair for friends and family members, have given perms and highlights with bleach. (I used to work in a salon).

I have not had any stains, everything wipes off, no issue with the finish from chemicals.

Well, quartz WILL stain with certain things and it will also etch (don't use barkeeper's friend). I don't use makeup or dye my hair so I can't comment on whether that will leave stains. Turmeric will stain, though, and so will certain types of slime. Thankfully I have been able to get those stains out with baking soda poultice and elbow grease, but most cleaners won't remove them. I haven't had corian so I can't tell you whether it's better for stain resistance.

Regarding resale, I feel like the % of people who won't buy your house because of your bathroom countertop material is in the very low digits.

No problem for over five years with my Silestone Lagoon. We live life and don’t baby anything.

I have Thassos in a bright white in another bathroom.

I have white quartz in all our bathrooms, including my kids bath, for 8 years now and we have no stains.

My kids get makeup, nailpolish, slime, playdough, food and drinks and pretty much anything that can spill will on the quartz and so far so good.

Probably every counter product can get a stain from something or another.

Maybe get a sample of the quartz. Take it home and try to stain it with all kinds of things and see what happens.
